Mac Hoang Thuong graduates in Lacquer painting from Ho Chi Minh University of Fine Arts and now teaches at the school. He has experimented with a few materials and styles, such as oil (with surrealism), acrylic (abstract), pencil (portraiture), etc…. The most recent exhibition he participates in is at A Gallery (Ho Chi Minh City), with a series of 20 abstract works. His paintings are always coherent in technique, favouring traditions in such a way that feelings are “hidden” in the paintings.
